I get it -- markets are bad, business is tough and you might be thinking, how can I bring the clients in? Well, execs over at The Ad Store, an advert boutique on the West side of Manhattan is offering their clients the following deal -- GIVE US A PROJECT, WE’LL GIVE YOU A VILLA.Yes, you guessed it. If you sign up to do a project with the firm, they’ll offer you a seven day/six night (2 person occupancy) villa in Puglia, Italy. They say that it’s not a bribe, but rather can be used to boost employee morale.
It’s one thing if you’re selling Shamwows or Snuggies and you want to double an order if the customer acts now, it’s just a whole other bag of nuts when you’re not selling a product, but a service. To tell you the truth, I’ve been trying to sell myself on Ad Store’s idea, but it just keeps feeling sticky…
I would like to let you all know (sorry potential client) that CJP will not be giving away free backrubs, spa weekends or private villas to our clients in exchange for work. We’re still doing it the old fashioned way – no gimmicks.
